Unabated API alternative: data feed or betting toolkit?

Compare an Unabated API alternative fairly: bundled betting tools, five-sport Concierge access, API-only Advanced, and TheRundown’s public WebSocket tier.

· 4 min read

Choose TheRundown as an Unabated alternative when you need an API feed with public plans rather than a betting-tool bundle. Ultra includes real-time REST and WebSocket for $399 per month. Unabated’s published $799 Concierge subscription includes its tools plus REST/SSE, so the lower TheRundown entry subscription is a comparison of different packages, not feature parity.

This guide is published by TheRundown. It is a provider-authored evaluation guide, not an independent ranking or an endorsement by Unabated API. Primary pages were checked on October 13, 2026; confirm current terms before buying. Read the side-by-side comparison for the feature table.

When Unabated API may remain the right fit

Unabated Concierge combines the toolkit with real-time REST/SSE data for NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, and WNBA. Advanced expands API access across its supported sports. The advertised Unabated Line and liquidity-oriented features may matter more to your workflow than a standalone feed price.

Unabated API pricing explained

Concierge is $799 per month and includes betting tools. Concierge Advanced is $2,999 per month for API-only access across supported sports. Enterprise and conditional publishing access are distinct offerings. TheRundown’s Ultra price does not include Unabated’s proprietary tools or models. See Unabated Concierge/Advanced pricing for the vendor’s current offering.

When to evaluate TheRundown

TheRundown may fit a project that wants to build its own odds and game-data application at a published API price. If the toolkit or proprietary line is integral to your analysis, keep that separate in the budget instead of assuming a generic odds API replaces it. Verify licensed use for your display or publishing workflow.

TheRundown’s monthly API plans start at Free, then Starter $49, Pro $149, and Ultra $399. Free has a five-minute delay; Starter 60 seconds; Pro 30 seconds. Ultra adds real-time REST and WebSocket. Commercial end-user display starts on Pro. Higher-volume plans are listed on API pricing. Availability varies by source, sport, and market.

Estimate the cost of your actual workload

TheRundown paid plans have a fixed subscription fee with included data-point volume. Unrequested books and markets do not add price rows to your usage, but using fewer points does not reduce the base fee. Monthly and annual plans stop at included limits by default; optional overage and weekly billing have separate terms.

TheRundown meters returned data points. For a main-line event response, the documented count includes an event, its score, and each returned price row. One game with three two-sided markets from three books, all fully priced and without live_game_state, is 2 + (3 × 2 × 3) = 20 data points. Missing prices lower the result. A returned live_game_state adds one more score data point. This is an illustrative full-row calculation, not a promise that every game has all those quotes.

Read X-Datapoints from your response and test a representative busy date. Credits, requests, objects, and data points cannot be converted with one universal multiplier. Limit the requested markets and books to what you actually use. The metering documentation explains billable rows and caps; the free API guide includes worked request examples.

Plan a safe migration

Switching from SSE to WebSocket requires a transport implementation and a payload mapping. Inventory any fair-value model or liquidity field consumed by your code and confirm whether it exists in the new API with the same meaning. Similar field names do not guarantee equivalent calculations or liquidity semantics.

Keep the existing integration running while validating the new one. Compare event kickoff, participants, market scope, line value, price format, and open/closed state. TheRundown prices use closed_at as the closure signal; do not decide a quote is closed just because updated_at is old. Use the data model and quickstart to implement the actual response structure.

Before you choose

Separate toolkit value from data-feed cost; confirm five-sport versus Advanced scope; audit proprietary model dependencies; verify commercial display and publishing terms.

Questions

Does TheRundown replace Unabated’s proprietary tools?
No equivalent proprietary toolkit or Unabated Line is claimed here. TheRundown supplies its documented odds and game data. Compare a standalone data feed separately from a bundle that includes betting tools.
Can I evaluate TheRundown without a credit card?
Yes. Free includes 20,000 data points per day, capped at 200,000 per month, for five-minute-delayed pre-match main lines from DraftKings, FanDuel, and BetMGM. Props, additional books, in-play odds, and WebSocket require eligible paid tiers.
Do I pay only for what I use with TheRundown?
TheRundown paid plans have a fixed subscription fee with included data-point volume. Unrequested books and markets do not add price rows to your usage, but using fewer points does not reduce the base fee. Monthly and annual plans stop at included limits by default; optional overage and weekly billing have separate terms.

Evaluate the schema before switching.

Start with a no-card free key for delayed pre-match main lines. Check your required books, markets, freshness, and rights before selecting a paid plan.
