TheRundown is an option to evaluate as a Sportradar alternative when your application needs sports odds, its required sources fit our catalog, and published self-serve plans matter to your budget. That decision still depends on the actual products and rights you need. A price comparison does not establish equivalent coverage, data licensing, support, or service commitments.

This guide is published by TheRundown. It is not an independent ranking or an endorsement by Sportradar. Official pages were checked on October 15, 2026. Use the [side-by-side comparison](/compare/sportradar) for the feature table and source list.

## Separate the Sportradar products before comparing prices

Sportradar’s [odds documentation](https://developer.sportradar.com/odds/reference/intro) separates prematch, futures, live odds, player props, Core, and probabilities products. One product’s access does not establish that another product is included. Ask which package contains your required leagues, bookmakers, markets, and delivery methods.

No public production rate card was found in the official developer pages reviewed. Sportradar’s [master terms](https://developer.sportradar.com/sportradar-updates/page/terms-and-conditions) place product fees, usage limits, and licensed properties in the Order Form. A third-party pricing estimate is not your quote. A trial allowance or an overage rate is also not a monthly production subscription price.

## What the REST trial does and does not cover

Sportradar’s [account guide](https://developer.sportradar.com/getting-started/docs/your-account) describes eligible self-serve REST trials. The default is 30 days, with 1,000 requests per rolling 30 days and a maximum of 1 query per second. Some products have other limits. Eligible trials generally receive production-frequency data under lower request quotas.

Live Odds API, Push Feeds, Probabilities, and certain other trials require sales contact. The default REST trial does not automatically include those feeds. Its trial terms allow internal evaluation rather than commercial publication. Confirm the specific product and intended use before planning an integration around a trial key.

## TheRundown’s published plans

The [API pricing page](/pricing/api) lists these monthly options:

| Plan | Monthly price | Odds freshness and delivery |
| ------- | ------------- | -------------------------------------------------------- |
| Free | $0 | Five-minute-delayed pre-match REST; three books |
| Starter | $49 | REST with a 60-second delay |
| Pro | $149 | REST with a 30-second delay; commercial end-user display |
| Ultra | $399 | Real-time REST and WebSocket |

Free requires no credit card and includes 20,000 data points per day, capped at 200,000 per month. It excludes in-play odds, player props, alternate markets, and streaming. It is a limited free plan rather than an Ultra trial. Starter is for internal or personal use; commercial end-user display starts on Pro. Higher-volume options appear under [Super, Mega, Max, and Enterprise](/pricing/api#volume-plans).

Paid plans include a fixed subscription fee and a data-point allowance. Request counts and returned data points are different units. Narrowing the requested sources and markets reduces returned price rows without reducing the base subscription fee. Read `X-Datapoints` on representative responses and use the [metering documentation](https://docs.therundown.io/rate-limits) to estimate your workload. Monthly and annual plans stop at included limits by default; optional overage and weekly billing have separate terms.

## When Sportradar may fit better

Keep Sportradar on your shortlist when a specific dataset, licensed use, package, or contractual support commitment meets a requirement that TheRundown does not cover. Evaluate production access separately from trial access. Document any availability or SLA requirement and compare the applicable agreements; a public plan price cannot establish parity with a negotiated service.

TheRundown’s [sports coverage](https://docs.therundown.io/reference/sports) and [source roster](https://docs.therundown.io/reference/sportsbooks) describe its own scope. Availability varies by source, sport, and market. Check exact markets and endpoints rather than assuming that the presence of a source or league means every dataset is available.

## Validate the migration with a narrow workload

Start with one sport, selected sources, and the markets your application uses. Map provider event and participant identifiers explicitly. Compare kickoff times, signed line values, outcome identity, odds format, and availability. Keep your current integration running while checking the replacement.

TheRundown uses `closed_at` to identify closed prices; an old `updated_at` does not itself mean a quote was withdrawn. Review the [data model](https://docs.therundown.io/reference/data-model) and [quickstart](/docs/quickstart), then verify that your chosen plan supplies the required freshness and delivery method.

For additional candidates, see the [sports odds API buyer guide](/blog/best-sports-odds-apis-2026). Choose using equivalent requirements and an actual workload rather than treating every sports data API as interchangeable.

## Questions

### Does Sportradar publish a production API rate card?

No production rate card was found in the official developer pages reviewed. Sportradar’s master terms set product fees in an Order Form. Obtain a quote for the required products, usage, and licensed properties.

### Does every Sportradar trial require sales contact?

No. Eligible REST products have self-serve trials with default limits of 30 days, 1,000 requests per rolling 30 days, and 1 query per second. Live Odds API, Push Feeds, Probabilities, and certain other trials require sales contact.

### Which TheRundown plan includes real-time WebSocket?

Ultra includes real-time REST and WebSocket at $399 per month with monthly billing. Starter is $49 with a 60-second delay, and Pro is $149 with a 30-second delay. Free is delayed pre-match REST from three books; it is not an Ultra trial.
